Our Difference
Our Commitment - Since 1990, Hospice of the Comforter has provided compassionate care to tens of thousands of patients and families who are our friends and neighbors. As a local, nonprofit hospice, our support and resources come from our supportive community. We stand behind our mission of being compassionate people providing compassionate care.
Our Expertise – To meet our superior service standards, we provide a detailed orientation and extensive ongoing education for our staff. Our patients benefit from pharmacy consultations, certified nursing assistants and licensed nurses that are certified in hospice and palliative care, and licensed social workers and bereavement counselors.
Our Experience – Hospice of the Comforter has served Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties longer than any other hospice. Our staff has experience and training in end-of-life care that includes pediatric hospice care, pain management, cultural issues, advanced dementia and grief and bereavement.
Our Locations – As a local organization, you will speak with a local team member and never an out-of-area call center. Additionally, we have the only freestanding inpatient Hospice House serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.
Our Support – We offer the most extensive grief-support programs in Central Florida. Family, friends and community members have access to grief support at no cost, whether they are seeking individual counseling, support groups or access to resources. We also offer a children’s program that provides grief support in schools to children who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
